MixGas Cutting
High quality processing of thick mild steel
Gas mixing is another alternative to pure nitrogen or oxygen cutting, where a specific blend of those two gases is used. It is used to achieve higher feed rates and a better cutting quality, especially lower burr height, in medium to thicker mild steel.
Benefits:
- Less post-processing needed due to burr height reduction of around 25-66%
-
Higher productivity due to faster cutting speeds, especially compared to the slower oxygen cutting process
- The best of both worlds: High speed from nitrogen cutting & excellent cutting quality from oxygen cutting
Note: Cost of operations contains investment costs, depreciation, interest rates, floor space costs, electrical consumption, gas consumption and service costs and spare & ware part costs.
